Statement:
"Photography, Digital Compositing, Graphic Design, Assemblage/Found Art, Multimedia Assemblage, Painting, Drawing and Video Filming/Post-Production Multimedia are the primary tools in my working palette.
If something is unique or unusual, I will most likely embrace and explore it. Contrast and diversity are very important in my work - most pieces touch on both digital and organic elements. My approach to art is to create vulnerable and raw works, with the intention of inviting the viewer to develop impressions using their own perspective.
Having worked in visual art and other artistic mediums (Music, Writing, etc.) for over 17 years, I love what I do and completely surender myself to it - anything artistic is exciting to me, and can at times be just as important as breathing - it has always been that way & I enjoy every minute of creating and being expressive.
Earth elements in contrast to digital elements are recurring themes in my work. Fire plays a large role, whether it is digitized or maybe a piece of paper has been burned and used in an art piece. The alchemy and magic of creating and combining
mediums/processes to see what happens and using the output is definitely the magical part.”
xo,
Kris.
